‘Inktzwart‘ (Pitch Black) is an interactive virtual reality experience about the MH17 plane crash. A digital monument that remembers the victims, the villagers in Ukraine, the relatives and everyone that is touched by this tragic event. The VR experience is a poetic visualization of elements and emotions around MH17. Elements like loss and grief, but also acceptance. In ‘Pitch Black’ digital and poetic art meet interactive storytelling. It is a new way to remember this tragic event. This VR experience is my graduation project of my Master in Animation at the Masters Institute AKV St. Joost.
